Sindh Government Supports Inclusion Through Assistive Devices
In a powerful step toward building an inclusive and accessible Sindh, Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has reaffirmed the government’s commitment to empowering persons with disabilities by distributing financial support for assistive devices across several key regions.
A Vision of Empowerment
At the heart of this initiative lies a clear vision: to ensure that no individual is held back by barriers to mobility, communication, or independence. Assistive devices play a transformative role in helping people with disabilities lead fuller, more autonomous lives—and this distribution is a firm nod to that commitment.
Cheques Handed Over with Purpose
During a recent ceremony, Chief Minister Shah personally handed over cheques to two organizations deeply rooted in community empowerment
Haji Abid Lashari, President of NDF Pakistan (Karachi and Nawabshah), received support aimed at enhancing accessibility for individuals in Shaheed Benazirabad, Larkana, and Hyderabad regions.
Mr. Sheeraz Saleem, Director of the Pakistan Down Syndrome Association (PDSA) Karachi, was awarded a cheque to bolster efforts for the Karachi Region.
These contributions are more than symbolic gestures—they are catalysts for tangible change in the lives of countless individuals and their families.

Building a More Inclusive Sindh
With this initiative, the Sindh government is sending a strong message: inclusion is not optional—it is essential. By equipping communities with tools to overcome physical and communication barriers, this program reinforces dignity, opportunity, and social integration for all.
This moment reminds us that collective change requires collective responsibility. As citizens, advocates, and policymakers, our role is to support and scale such efforts—ensuring that the promise of equity reaches every corner of our society.
