Pakistan Down Syndrome Association (PDSA) is only Non Profit Organization of persons with Down Syndrome in Pakistan. PDSA is registered under Societies Registration Act, 1860 in 2014. PDSA started its work in 2009, led by Sara Lashari & her team from District Shaheed Benazir Abad, registered on 02nd September 2014. PDSA works for advocacy of rights of children with Down Syndrome. PDSA is only representative organization of Pakistan recognized by Dsi.
To promote an inclusive & accessible society in which everybody including poor, marginalized and disadvantaged communities have to entertain equal opportunities and facilities.
To improve quality of life for people with Down syndrome in Pakistan and promote their inherent right to be accepted and included as valued and equal members of their communities.
A vocational Center imparting training in Information Communication & Technology (ICT), training in packing of different items, Training in pressing the cloths and other trades.
Develop life skills, such as clothing, eating, bathing etc
Training in life therapies such as Psychotherapy, occupational therapy & mobility tools in learning.
Organizing advocacy campaign to create acceptance of Down Syndrome Children in the society, by organizing rallies, walks, talks, seminars & workshops.
Represent people with Down syndrome of Pakistan in DSi with a single global voice and encourage international communication for cooperation.
Raise awareness about Down syndrome and the potential of people with Down syndrome to be valued members of their communities.
